2022 Chardonnay
Fully aged in stainless steel, this Chardonnay respects the full flavor of our Chardonnay grapes from Leed's Manor Vineyard. Nosy notes of orchard fruit and flowers makes way for clean acidity and a fresh finish, with flavors of crisp golden delicious, white flowers and pear on the palate. Pairs excellently with spring days, scallops, picnics, and goat cheese.
2022 Rusticity
The 2022 Rusticity is a blend of 68% Petit Verdot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 7% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. The intense purple hues of this wine are the first indication of bright raspberry, black currant, plum and dark fruit aromas on the nose. The fruit notes follow through on the palate with hints of black pepper, vanilla and coffee.
2022 Duet
The 2022 Duet is a blend of 73% Merlot and 27% Cabernet Sauvignon that saw all French oak. This wine opens with beautiful aromas of ripe cherry, pomegranate, and Spanish cedar leading into a smooth and lingering finish.
2022 Petit Verdot
A Virginia staple and our first PV in a decade, this wine is the perfect showcase of our state’s unique terroir. A dark, bold and expressive red, it leads with elegant scents of plum and cedar, moving into mouthful, heavy tannins and flavors of mocha, violet, and pomegranate. This elegant single-varietal red pairs amazingly with heavy proteins like lamb or filet, as well as more vegetarian-friendly dishes like mushroom risotto and truffles.
2022 Tannat
One of the boldest grapes around, Tannat has established a foothold in Virginia, where its strong tannins and big flavor make it a favorite amongst red enjoyers. Delaplane’s Tannat leads with heavy notes of earth, vibrant plum, and cardamom, whilst grippy tannin and strong acid raise flavors of cranberry, smoke, and vanilla out of the glass. This wine will certainly age beautifully and improves with decanting, and is paired best with lamb or steak, shepherd’s pie, snowy days, and holiday celebrations.
2021 Duet
The 2021 Duet is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon that received 5% new French oak. This wine opens with beautiful aromas of cranberry, pomegranate, and forest floor leading into flavors of bright red fruit and cedar.
